When Kay Dean turned her keen detective’s eye on the reviews for a Toronto dental clinic, she quickly discovered something alarming. The reviewers behind the clinic’s glowing testimonials had also reviewed an array of obscure small businesses across North America and Europe. A dry cleaner in Florida, a locksmith in Texas, an electrician in the UK, and more: a handful of reviewers recommended the same 14 companies. Even more tellingly, many reviews appeared word-for-word on both Facebook and Google under different names.

Ford Motor Company issued a recall for the 2021 to 2023 models of its popular F-150 trucks because of the chance for parts of rear axle hubs to wear, break, and potentially cause crashes. Damaged axle hubs can send a vehicle rolling away while in park without the parking brake applied or cause a loss of drive power, raising the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warned in a Jan.

A few years ago, a friend of a friend declared that he wanted to pick my brain about The Good Doctor. On March 23, Dr. Ferenc Dalnoki-Veress, a Research Scientist at the Monterey Institute of International Studies saw a report by Kyodo news agency that caught his eye.
