I first interviewed Whitney Wolfe Herd in 2015, back when she was just Whitney Wolfe, a 25 year old who had recently started a little company called Bumble. For those of you who aren’t on dating apps, Bumble lets you swipe left or right on a picture of a potential match—except in the beginning, only women could make the first move. Since its founding, Bumble has expanded from a dating platform into a way to find everyone from friends to mentors, with strict rules to prevent harassment.

WASHINGTON — From Washington to Milan to Paris, tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched Saturday, calling for a halt to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza. The marches reflected growing disquiet about the mounting civilian casualty toll and suffering from the Israel-Hamas war. Protesters, particularly in countries with large Muslim populations, including the U.S., U.K. and France, expressed disillusionment with their governments for supporting Israel while its bombardments of hospitals and residential areas in the Gaza strip intensify.
Ron Burgundy owns many leather-bound books, and apparently can pitch a Dodge Durango or two. Will Ferrell’s Anchorman alter-ego has been stumping for Chrysler, and the 70 ads he made have over seven million hits on YouTube, Bloomberg Businessweek reports. Chrysler has reported an 11 percent increase in vehicle sales since the ads started, with Durango sales up 59 percent. Best of all, Chrysler didn’t even pay Ferrell to do the ads, since the spots also promote his new movie, Anchorman 2, out Dec.
Every Saturday for 53 years, Mario Kreutzberger has been a presence in Latino living rooms across America. The star? of Univision’s flagship show “Sabado Gigante,” Kreutzberger, age 74, hosted 2,800 consecutive weekly shows, only missing one episode of the live variety show in 1974, when his mother passed away. Assuming an outrageous persona — “Don Francisco” — Kreutzberger built a loyal audience that made the three-hour live show win the Guinness World Record for the longest running TV show in history.
While the Nigerians nominated didn't snag any of the awards, they presented dapper sartorial offerings at the event. Then there was Ayra Starr, serving skin in a baby-blue two-piece ensemble decorated with silver gemstones. Others that made the shindig included DJ Obi, Wale, Bob Hearts Abishola star Folake Olowofoyeku, new Grammy winner, Tyla and more.
"Based on the lines, the event should be a success, and provides a solid media opportunity for Coach as it continues its brand turn," Konik wrote in a research note. "Kudos to Coach's leadership on a smart strategy" Coach has been using Gomez to the absolute max. In addition to the fan meet and greet, the company used Gomez's fame to boost their presence at New York City's Fashion Week.
In an interview with Soundcity radio's OAP, Awazi, Tiwa Savage got to talk about how she has been able to handle the rumoured relationship between Wizkid and herself. "We are friends definitely. To be honest, I think I have been in this industry for a long time, I have grown a thick skin so comments like that, genuinely, honestly don't bother me that much. I am kinda used to it.
It’s been an unusual season of political sex scandals, but Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s is particularly lurid: there are allegations of parties featuring strippers at the mayoral mansion and explicit text messages between Kilpatrick and his alleged mistress who was, until recently, his chief of staff. But Kilpatrick seems to be taking his cues more from Senators Larry Craig and David Vitter than from New York governor Eliot Spitzer: he isn’t going down without a big fight.
