Julianne Hough arrived at a Beverley Hills Halloween party Friday night dressed as the character Crazy Eyes from the Netflix drama Orange Is the New Black.
In addition to wearing a jumpsuit and prison ID labeled “Crazy Eyes,” Hough also darkened her skin with makeup.
After the costume stirred controversy online, Hough took to Twitter to apologize, according to People magazine.
“It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize.

A gleeful crowd gathered at the swanky Metrograph for the screening of the romantic comedy starring Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke, and Chris O’Dowd.
For reasons too obvious to ignore, some have described the Koma people as ancient. Others, in their own observation, have termed them primitive. Located in the Atlantika Mountains of Adamawa state, the Koma ethnic group are made up of people who are entirely committed to their traditional culture. They share a boarder with Cameroon and are divided into three main groups: the hill-dwelling Beya and Ndamti, and the Vomni and Verre lowlanders.

Now these “rich young brats” have succeeded café society, the jet set and the beautiful people as social pacesetters. To emulate them, however, requires a lot of loot. Take the personification of the ideal, Nicky Lane, 23, a dégagée Englishwoman with fire-engine red hair, matte-white face and enormous carnelian eyes. “She looks like an apricot,” says her whimsical husband Kenneth Jay Lane, the costume-jewelry designer.
The Registrar of the institution, Modupe Fawale, made the clarification in a statement in Ibadan on Saturday. The trending video circulating on social media showed where some students were sacrificing and feasting on ritual in broad daylight on the campus. Fawale, however, explained that the said video was the performance of students from the Art and Design department during their 2023 departmental week ADVERTISEMENT
”The scene on the video is to educate, orientate and discourage the minds of the youth, especially students, not to engage in money ritual and other social vices.
