About 8% of children in the U.S. have a food allergy, roughly double the percentage who did in 2007. It’s not entirely clear why more kids are being diagnosed with food allergies, both in the U.S. and across the world—but as these potentially life-threatening conditions grow more common, lots of researchers are studying how to treat or prevent them. A study published in PLOS ONE on Mar. 29 offers one potential strategy: get a pet.
In her 20s, Lena Dunham built a multimedia empire around the maxim “write what you know.” But one young life can fuel only so many stories, and so the creator and star of Girls, now 32, is branching out: on Oct. 14, she and Girls co-showrunner Jenni Konner return to HBO with Camping, an eight-episode series whose characters bear far less resemblance to Dunham. Adapted from a British comedy of the same name, the show follows four middle-aged couples on a campout in celebration of their sweet friend Walt’s (David Tennant) 45th birthday.

If you’ve spent a lot of time on the internet in the last decade, you might immediately recognize this description: a toddler clenches his fist in front of a determined-looking face. “Success kid” is one of the most popular online memes in history. But for the 2.2 billion people worldwide who report visual impairments or blindness, according to the World Health Organization, it is just one of thousands of images on the internet that are essentially illegible to anyone without full vision.
Another year, another crossroads for the content business. As buyers and sellers gather in Cannes this week for Mipcom, change is in the air yet again on both sides of the Atlantic. In the U.S., the largest media conglomerates are all in rebuilding mode, even the mighty Disney. Now the cranes and earth movers at the plant stand idle, and a shroud of snow covers the project’s jagged skeleton. Last week Public Service Co. of Indiana, Marble Hill’s principal builder, announced that it would abandon the half-finished plant altogether. Marble Hill has already eaten up some $2.

ADVERTISEMENT While Meek continues to slam Drake from so many things ranging from him not tweeting about his album which Drake featured on to Drake allegedly not writing his own lyrics, he's yet to explain why Nicki's pictures have suddenly vanished from his IG!
“Is there anyone who still talks about the materialism of science?” wrote Robert Andrews Millikan, Caltech’s famed physi cist. “Rather does the scientist join with the psalmist of thousands of years ago in reverently proclaiming, ‘the Heavens de clare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth His handiwork.’ ” Hungarian-born Rene FtilSp-Miller, a onetime hermit on Mt. Athos who has written biographies of Pope Leo XIII, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Lenin and Gandhi, sees Physicist Millikan ‘s attitude as part of “a new ‘renaissance,’ which is about to bring back man’s appreciation of the con structive wisdom and beauty of faith.
