“The ‘Neighbours’ theme song is part of the Australian psyche, up there with the Mojos jingles like ‘C’mon Aussie C’mon’ and ‘You Oughta Be Congratulated,’” says screen composer Antony Partos, who has won awards for “Redfern Now”, “Mabo”, “Rake” and “The Slap”.
“It works on two levels – it’s ear candy, and it’s also been around for so long that it’s reinforced as part of Australian folklore.”
The theme song made an impact even before it launched in 1985.

There are reports that the new house is located in the highbrow area of the coal city, Enugu. However, a popular gossip blogger has alleged that the house was gifted to the movie star by the same billionaire businessman, Tein Jack Rich, who reportedly bought her an SUV.
The report is based on Africa’s high-net-worth population in terms of Millionaire (1m USD) status, centi-millionaires (100m USD), and billionaire status in dollars. The report further checked the growth rate of African millionaires from 2013 to 2023 noting that while some countries like South Africa and Egypt saw declines of 20% and 22% respectively, other countries like Mauritius (87%), Rwanda (84%), Morocco (35%), and Namibia (32%) all experienced significant growth in their millionaire populations.

At the same time, Carter’s name has drawn more attention than any other—with the arguable exceptions of Planters and Skippy—to the peanut industry. It is big, modern and thriving as never before, partly at public expense.

For 15 months Burger Baron Ray Kroc, 76, founder of the McDonald’s hamburger chain, has been bedeviled by a rumor that he donates money to the Church of Satan, a San Francisco-based cult. “The most vicious thing I’ve ever heard and all lies,” sputters Kroc. Nonetheless, on many fundamentalist Christians in the Southern and Midwestern Bible Belt, the rumor has had the impact of a Big Mac attack in reverse: they are boycotting McDonald’s.
